Hello vG!

As most of you are aware, we have been actively working on balancing the vG economy over the course of the past few weeks. A balance has now been achieved between a lot of features to make them fun to use whilst simultaneously not over-powering the economy and allowing the vG Rich List to look...well as it is now.

Following this update, a stat reset will occur. This will wipe everything except score, organisation membership, clan membership and staff ranks. (If any of these are lost they will be reinstated)

The next major update, nicknamed the 'Blue Skyy's/Economy Update' will bring in the following:
• ~~Forum Removal -~~ This has been shelved for now as it did not achieve as much as we were hoping it would.
Jobs
• The Taxi Driver job is now easier to level-up in.
• You can now buy Mining Explosives/Fishing Rods from a checkpoint, allowing you to access these with a wanted level.
• Job skills are now managed differently, where jobs will go up to 10 instead of 5 which it is currently at.
• Note that Miner/Fisher will not be impacted by the above but have been buffed as well and are balanced at 300k/hour.
• Loyalty bonus added to the job system - this will be a bonus that will be gained when you do a job multiple times in a short time, increasing as you continue to do the job and expiring when you stop.
• Fishing Rods now break much less.
Warehouses
• Vehicle Cargo now makes between 25% and 35% less than it did before.
• You can now sell special cargo with 10 cargo in the warehouse; this does not need to be full.
• Special Cargo has been massively buffed to make it on-par with vehicle cargo.
• Warehouse price ranges adjusted.
• Various bug fixes.
Corporations
• You now need $1 billion as your net worth to own a corporation.
• You must be in the clan to own a corporation.
• You must have $500 million in the bank to own a corporation.
• Vehicle spawning modification now costs more. Vehicle spawning has a 20-minute cooldown and a cost.
• Various bug fixes.
Banks
• The entire premise of banks/bank balances has been reformed.
• Your bank now has a balance cap of $10 million by default. This increases by owning a house, a business, a dealership, a bank, a casino, corporation, dealership or warehouse.
• If you try to deposit past your bank balance, this will go into your in-hand balance.
• Banks are now intended to be a service to access extra features i.e. storing more in your bank or investing more money, and will therefore make significantly less than they used to.
• Bank interest is now capped at $50k an hour ($100k/hour for VIPs).
• Wealthy tax removed.
Casinos
• Casinos now make significantly less by default. However, a mission has now been added which can be completed daily. If you do this mission, your Casino will make profits as it previously did.
• If you do not have any dealings with your Casino (by doing a mission) for more than 5 days, the Casino will close as the staff will go on strike due to negligence.
• Casino price ranges adjusted.
Prestige System
The Prestige System adds the option to reset yourself, removing all of your money and properties EXCEPT for houses, garages and SPECIAL vehicles. This will come available when the player reaches the maximum networth cap ($2,147,483,647 to be exact). Prestiging will also give bonuses to each moneymaking method as follows:
• Jobs: 100 percent increase. (500 percent increase at rank 5)
• Illegal activities/Drugs: 100 percent increase. (500 percent increase at rank 5)
• Warehouses: 50 percent increase. (250 percent increase at rank 5)
• Businesses: 20 percent increase. (100 percent increase at rank 5)
• Corporations/Casinos/Banks/Dealerships: 25 percent increase. (125 percent increase at rank 5)
There will be 5 ranks of prestige and you will gain a rank for each time you reset yourself, meaning you can receive these bonuses 5 times.
Also, there will be a PRESTIGE SHOP once you prestige for the first time which will give access to various quality of life upgrades or SPECIALISATIONS (unlocked at rank 2) to further refine your moneymaking. These will allow you to access bigger bonuses to your desired moneymaking methods (from the 5 listed above). You may only have specialisations in 2 of the 5 moneymaking methods listed so choose wisely!
Miscellaneous
• /reboottime has been added where you can see how long is left until the next server restart.
• Admins can now queue a reboot of the server.
• Houses and garages no longer affect networth.
• You can no longer buy extra house/business/garage/etc slots - these are only obtainable in giftboxes.
• The Gem Clues have been moved around to be easier to find.
• Drug 'NOX' has been removed.
• A fix has been applied for the NPCs de-synchronising with the server.
• Inactivity period (time you can not play before items are sold) increased to 14 days.
• When marked inactive, items will still sell after 40 days.
• Drug processing adjusted to have a very small chance of failure (<1%).
